After letting her out at night, I took a knock-out painkiller and went to lie on the couch until she barked to come in. I fell asleep. When she failed to rouse me, she made her way to my daughter's house ten blocks away, across a busy road, and roused her. We'd never walked there, I'd always driven, so how did she know the way?
